I am new to the site and pretty new to turning, but I have quickly become addicted.
I can certainly commit to making 25 pens to help support our troops. If all of us commit to making a few pens so our soldiers know we are thinking about them, in a small way we will make a difference.
Our troops have given up years of their lives, I can certainly give up a few hours of mine.

I would say that we have about 6 schools that I send pen kits to each year. We also have other schools that participate through a program with Penn State. If they buy so many pen kits, Penn State gives them kits to make for Freedom Pens.

Don't forget to add Davisville Middle School to the list. I have 20 pens completed and am waiting for the next 20 to be completed so I can ship them to the Freedom Pen address. They should be completed by the end of this week.

The Morris Knolls High School count should be 278. We shipped a second bunch over the summer to Penn State. In addition, we turned a pen for President Bush which we received a reply from him and also a pen for General Ray Odierno who received his this past weekend.
