Another first for me, American Twist Cap Fountain. This Segmentation is based on a Pen by Ron McIntire.

It has Maple, Walnut and Paduak. CA only finish topped off with a buffing and a Renaissance Wax coat.

Jon, I've never done any pens, but I can sure appreciate the skill shown here. Nice job.

I don't do pens Jon, but that is one great looking pen.

Is that a pen-knife with it. :)

Great job Jon, you're setting the bar higher all the time with your pen innovations.

I'm just trying to spice up the pictures. What I really need to do is learn proper technique with this digital and get a little pop up studio. AND READ about it... that would help.

The pen is just gorgous. I've only turned one and my son is pressing me to do more. I think I will copy yours and satsify him at the same time....Bill...

Nice work Jon! That's the first time I've ever seen a pen that screams at you! Great pattern and colors! Again - very nice work!

Wow! Your pens are amazing and this one is no exception to the trend you have been setting! Nice choice of woods!

Jon---Great execution on this pen, though to be honest, I prefer the more suble "wave pen" you posted recently, but that's just me.

About photography, the International Association of Penturners (penturnersdotorg) has a whole forum dedicated to photographing pens, which proved very helpful to me.
