Hair line crack

I have a chair in the shop the has a hair-line crack in it. Well there are two cracks. They are in the middle of the seat and cracked in the middle of a board. The chair is made out of ash. It did not crack all the way thru, just half way and has been like this for a few month, so I am thinking it is done. Theses chairs where bought new along with a table from a furniture store, so it was not my doing.:D OK, for fixing it, my plan is to use a CA glue and add some dye to it.Will this work or is there a better way? The crack is just wide enogh to get a razor blade in. I have treid to get pics, but the pics are to fuzzy. I will try again later.
