I just got back from installing this on the wall of an office in
downtown Seattle. The logo is waterjet cut stainless steel, 9"x48",
the smaller letters below are laser cut 1/4" black acrylic, faces
painted light gray. I also laser cut some circles of acrylic to mount
the logo 1/2" off the wall. They were 1/4" thick so two glued together
to make the 1/2", and two on top have screws coming out the spacers
which are in the wall to carry the weight.

I had the stainless cut by another Creeker.

Thanks for your help, Jack!

looks good...We do a lot of these interior dimensional letters, what type of paint are you using on the acrylic?

If I can find the right color I normally use Krylon Fusion, but this light gray I had to use acrylic latex in the small HVLP gun. I spray the Krylon plastic primer first then the latex, then apply transfer tape and cut on the laser so the edges stay black. I don't know how that paint would hold up outdoors, but works fine for inside where no one's handling it.

That is how we do our internal letters. Gemini paints them for outside and the ones we order from them have a different finish. The Krylon should hold up but we haven't tested it yet.
