Smaller version of what I posted yesterday.
Maple Bowl 9 ¾” x 3 ½” x ¼”, sanded to 400, Watco Natural and a couple of quick wipe on/wipe off coats of Minwax Poly.

Wow! - Laser - wouldn't that be fun!
Brian - I know this bowl looks like it was cored from the same chunk as the larger bowl - but it wasn't. Coring system is on the list but haven't gotten to it yet. I actually had a few pieces of maple with rotted branches and these are the results. Still have a few rough-outs with voids left to turn but will have to go hunting for wood before to long.

Yikes! I really like the bowl, I can see why you call it "art". I agree with Ken, though; that hole isn't natural, you are shooting holes in everything with laser beams and photons!
