HAs anyone ever used rub and buff over thermark? I tried this and it came out pretty good. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has tried it. I did this to get gold engraving instead of black engraving on a crome plated platter

Did you just rub it on the thermarked black image?
And it took on that 100%?

Yes I just rubbed it on the black thermark after the engraving and it seem to adhere ok

You're right Don. I just went and tried it on some scrap stuff I had laying around. It looks pretty darn good. I also tried oil based paint with no effect whatsoever. It holds the Rub N Buff though. Nice find. Now maybe I can use black Rub N Buff to enhance areas that don't turn out really well.
Snce I had extra rub-n-buff on my finger, I wiped it on an engraved annodized flashlight I had on my desk and darned if that didn't look great too.

I just tried some gold rub n buff on an anodized piece of aluminum that was lasered 5 years ago and it worked on that piece also. I think you are onto something that needs further exploration. Thanks for sharing.
