I,m learning, slow.This was a blank I got from a local WW store on sale.This is my forth bowl. 7 x 2 1/4..

Bowl looks great Dave! You sure picked a hard form for your fourth bowl - hard to make that steep of a curve between the wall and the bottom of the bowl! Beautiful wood (I'm a Big Time Curly Fan) and finish! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

I love that form, and like Steve am a lover of curly maple. Some times when I try to make that bottom to side transition I leave too much wood in. doesn't look like you had that problem. :):)

The positive reinforcement go,s a long way.
I think i,ve fiquired out posting pics a bit better so here,s a bit larger image.The vortex is more of a black hole i,m afraid.I recently outfitted my shop a bit to get into woodworking and 1 acquistion was the lathe.After building my work bench all i,ve done is turn..I,m hooked !!
