This piece turned out to be about 4.5 inches in diameter by 2.75 inches high. The thickness is quite consistent on this one, so it hollows out a bit. The only exception is the center of the bottom where I almost went through. You can't tell, unless you have light behind it.
I would have been fine, if I had left a foot on it, but I decided to make a jam chuck an turn it off. I just had a hard time turning the very center of the inside and got a bit too deep.
This was from a 8x8x3 blank, but I cut it down to have a couple small project pieces from it.
Almost forgot: Finish to this point is sanded to 320 and a few coats of BLO, and wiped down with paper towel.
Sorry for the dark pic. The LOML keeps hasseling me for not waiting for more light in our dark house.
