Ever tried to find a metric drill bit in Arkansas?

Don't worry....you won't!!

I need SMC members help.......I need a 12MM drill bit and a 15MM drill bit. Where can I get these bits for less than $25 each?

Dennis: Go to page 2289 of this catalog and you will find a 12mm bit for $7.50 or so. Best of luck

d,

Check this drill bit conversions chart.

Would the 15/32" and 19/32" bits not be close enough to 12mm and 15mm???? You could probably fine those...even in Arkansas. :D

Call Lee Valley. The metric stuff is readily available, but not all of it is listed in the catalog (at least not in the U.S. version).

I've bought several metric bits - both brad point and forstner - from them.

37/64! Jees man, it looks like they want you an Easter Egg hunt rather make the pen. Bet you won't loose that one if you find one.

Wherever you bought your pen kits should have the size drill bit that you need.

Hi,

Even the runout on one of the english bits or metric bits would exceed the specs!

Many, many thanks for all the advice, pointers and sources to look for these drill bits. It is now under control. Just remember....when making a Gentleman's Pen....you gotta have BIG drill bits..!!!!!! :D
