I have been encoureged to post pics so here are a few of past projects.
Kitchen Island I designed and built. It has a curly maple top.
Mini Hoosier cabinet (40" tall) plans were in one of the magizines. It was lots of fun to build.
Redwood outdoor table for customer.

My favorite is the Kitchen Island. I love that top!! As for the pen...well I don't like rattlesnakes:eek: but the pen looks good. Great lookin' work!

Scott, thanks for posting the pictures. Very impressive work. As others have said, the kitchen island piece is a real beauty. Don't you just love to work with curly maple?
You were a brave soul to incorporate inset, side-hung drawers on the Hoosier cabinet. Nicely done. With drawers that big I probably would have opted for sliders, but that's just my bias. I will be candid and say I don't care for the drawer pulls on that piece, however. They seem to overpower the otherwise handsome piece.

Wow, Nice work Scott! I like the white paint and the maple contrast. Where do you get the 8 quarter Curly maple?

No I did not turn the posts due to time constraints. I ordered them from Rockler.
The 8/4 maple is actually edged 3/4 maple with MDF underneath.
Your comment tells me I achieved exactly what I wanted.
The drawers on the cabinet were as in the plan and very easy to make.
Remember it is a miniature. (only about 40" high overall). That is why the pulls look somewhat over sized.

Nice work Scott. I really like kitchen island. Are there drawers or doors on the backside?

Very nice indeed but I must say when I read Rattlesnake pen I wasn't thinking the writing kind. :D

Very nice work! I'd much rather see the rattlesnake skin on the pen than the real thing. Nicely done.

I had no idea that you could turn a rattlesnake and get such figure. That heartwood/sapwood mix pattern is very cool. Who knew? :)
