I'm thinking of getting a digital angle indicator. I know that Wixey and Beall both make digital angle indicators. I also know that the Beall is slightly larger and uses a 9 volt battery where the Wixey uses a small 3 volt battery. Does anyone know if there is a side by side comparison of the specifications for these two devices anywhere?

Or can we get owners of each to post the specifications for each on this thread so they can be compared.

Search, my friend, search. There was a whole thread not long ago comparing the two. :)

That thread was in no small part why I chose the Beal. I'm a happy camper.

Hartville tool has the Wixey on sale right now for $29. Everyone I know that has one has nothing but good things to say about it.

I think you can’t go wrong with either one, but the reason I went with the Beal was, I can get batteries any were any time and it is made of metal …

I have the Wixey and love it. I think i would love the Beall even more due to the hundredths scale. On the other hand my fractional calipers annoy me because they go to 128th's. Looked good on paper but, a pain in the real world.

P.s. The Wixey is also metal(?) and I have yet to change a battery. They seem to really last. So does my planer's DRO now that I found that the same size battery comes in varying qualities. Spend the extra $1 per year for the good ones.
