This came up this morning on Craig's List.

Is this a knife/belt sander roughly like the Grizzly equivalent (http://grizzly.com/products/G1015)?

I'm not sure, but it looks like it might be a floor model with some kind of varying height action. Don't know if the motor works or anything, but I've been looking for something like the Grizzly. Might this be it?

Don't know for sure but it looks close enough to where if the price was great I would buy it. If it was in my neighborhood I would already have it in my shop.

Looks like it's a pretty large DC motor, with a speed control. That will give you nice variable speed.

I couldn't make out all the picture but it is a knife grinder of sorts.

I have the Grizzly and it isn't a bad machine, they are really handy, especially if you actually build knives like I used to.

Variable speed would be very handy and if the price is good it would be a fine addition.

I looks like the belt is longer than the grizzly model. Longer belts are a big plus.

I got some better pictures and it looks like it's an old beat up version of one of these.

A Burr King 960-720 Knife Maker (http://www.burrking.com/960-272_knifemaker.html).

The good news is that it looks like a quality machine. The bad news is that parts to fix it would cost big time. The guy says some other people are interested. I said I'd pay $75 if it looks like it's in decent shape. We will see.

If it is a BurrKing they a supposed to be a quality unit and that price would be a steal.
