Greetings!

Does any one have any experience with the Hartville tools X-Point alignment system?

Did you ever get a response?

I am also looking for an alignment tool and comparing the Hartville X-Point (on sale for $79) to TS-Aligner Jr ($121)

I've used it for aligning my blade to miter slot and fence to miter slot. I've never used it to check angles. Does work very good and it's well engineered. I like it and think it was worth every penny.

Al,

My wife bought a Hartville for me for Christmas. I aligned my table saw blade, fence and six inch jointer knives. It seemed ok. I think the T.S. aligner might be a little better quality, but I liked the price of the Hartville. One of the brackets for attaching the dial indicator was drilled incorrectly. Hartville's customer service was excellent. They replaced the part and also sent another dial indicator which was't necessary even when I offered to send back the other one! I also have not tried to do any angles with it. The instructions could be a little more detailed I think.

So far I'm happy with mine.

Can't make a statement about either of the ones previously mentioned, but I have this one. Between this and PALS I've got a 27 year old Craftsman CS pretty well lined up.

For the money you can't beat TS-Aligner jr., its well made, excellent QC, and fabulous documentation including a DVD demonstrating all the tools being aligned...

You have to consider the source and possible bias, but there's a lot of objective info here
