Here is a project that I completed before Chirstmas.
The body and arms are made of red oak. The snout is butternut, the nose and eyes are walnut and the pupils are poplar dowel. The nose was inlayed using a double bevel method on a scrollsaw. The ears were carved using a dremel and chisels to get the texture I was looking for. Despite the picture, the arms and body are very close to the same color.
The finish is 1 coat of BLO, then 2 coats of Blo/Poly/Terps.
This is for my 2 year old daughter and it was built from plans by Rockler. Next up is a teddy bear table of my own design
