No, this isn't about wild parties. Sorry! I'm looking for a shop light that can be mounted on the wall over my workbench with the bulb and reflector on a adjustable (swinging) arm. The small lights on arms, 60 to 100 watts incandescent, just aren't bright enough. Would like either a 250 or 500 watt halogen. The overhead florescents are okay for general work, but when working with small objects, I just can't see them well enough. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Remember, 60 ain't old.... If you're a tree.

You might like to check out these dock lights from WW Grainger http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/categories/lighting/task-lights/dock-lights There are arms from about 24" up to 60" with both incandescent lights as well as quartz halogen. Hope this helps.

Check Grainger or Northern Tool. I think they are called loading dock lights. Try that Internet auction site for more information on them.
I am thinking about doing something similar at some point in the future.
Another option that I use when doing bench work is the ring fluorescent lights with the magnifying lens in the middle.

Would like either a 250 or 500 watt halogen.

Prepare to sweat if you work under one of these (http://www2.northerntool.com/product/42406.htm).
