Spent the better part of Sunday morning up in Williamsburg with fellow Creeker Phil Duffy who showed remarkable patience in teaching me not only some of the finer points of ornament turning, but also how to make the dreaded skew chisel function the way it should. Many thanks to Phil for generously sharing his time and talent to help out a beginner ...and many thanks to Sawmillcreek for being the kind of place where a beginner can find an expert willing to help!

The effort was a joy! Always a pleasue to share ideas and techniques, tell a few "cast and blast" stories, and to make some shavings fly. Come again, good friend. Phil
