I don't think I have ever seen them that small. What's your application?

McMaster Carr - they have carbide bits that are a bit spendy at $12.82 per.

Bruce, I'm fixing some ornaments from our Advent calendar. The cats knocked it over and I need to reattach the tiny hooks. Curved surface so I'd prefer a brad point. I guess I could use an awl to prevent a twist from skating, but I got curious about tiny brads so here we are.

Timberline Tools through Amazon. It says, "1/16 DIA BRAD POINT WOOD DRILL (http://www.amazon.com/DIA-BRAD-POINT-WOOD-DRILL/dp/B000P4QNM0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1198810680&sr=1-3)" but at $0.84 per I can only imagine they mean drill bit.

The other thing you can do is buy a 1/16" router bit (1/4" shank). You can put the router bit in a drill to drill small holes, but you can also use the router bit for inlay. The cheapest 1/16" straight router bit I've found is at MLCS (http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/bt_strai.html#shear_angle_anchor). Look at the first entry in the table "single flute". Free shipping, too. (no connection with the company)

Also, although it's slow, you can chuck a brad (a nail brad, not a bit) in your drill and drill small holes.

I got a 29 piece brad point set from good 'ol Harbor Freight. 1/16" to 1/2" by 64ths for $11.99.

W.L. Fuller lists them in short lengths on their site.

McMaster-Carr stocks them in solid carbide for $12.82 each.

Gary... Hectors Hardware carries Black and decker bullet point bits in the 1/16" size model # 19100, you get 2 for $1.99 and they are like split point

I'd use an awl and move on. 1/16th brads are out there as others have posted but unless you do a lot of this kind of work they are pricey.

Take a 3d finish nail and clip the head off. Chuck it in the drill and use as a bit. I used to do this mounting hinges before I bought a set of vix bits. After drilling several holes on oak rails, my son wanted to see the bit. He looks with his hands, but only once- IT WAS HOT!
