Spontaneous Decision...Dado Blades

Usually I research a purchase to death before I pull the trigger. A short time ago I went to Amazon and ordered the CMT 8" dado for $106.92 with free shipping. It was the last one they had but it said their getting more.
The only thing I know about this is what I read in this month's FWW Mag. They reviewed 3 new dado blades. Two from Bosch (a 24 tooth and 40 tooth) and CMT's 12-tooth set. Anybody hear anything about it?
Sometimes ya just gotta take a chance.

Great price for a highly rated set.

I noticed the * in the chart that said the edge tear-out went from fair to excellent at a slow feed rate. I also remember some previous comparison where nearly all the dado sets did well on tear-out when used with a zero-clearance insert.

You did the research and spotted the bargain!

Thanks Brian....Even if you think you did good...It is always great to hear it. I guess because it only has 12 cutters, all ya have to do , like you said, is feed it a little slower. That's right up my alley.:D
