HI
I remember seeing somewhere a plywood/sheet good storage cart. It was on wheels and the 8 foot dimension was horizontal. I have been looking all over for it and figured someone might have seen it. It may have been here that I saw it here.

I have a small shop and no wall that I could put 4X8 sheets without moving a built in bench, cabinet or machine. The shop is roughly 120 to 150 sq ft. I am so used to rolling stuff in and out to make room that if I could roll the sheets in and out instead of moving them it might be easier on me and my back.

I think I have what you are after. See my private e-mail to you.

Hey Bryan...Got snow???
Friends in Halifax say it was the worst they've seen. Up to the second floor windows.

Hey Glenn,

You bet we got snow here! We had a full scale blizzard with over 2 ft. of snow with 60 mph winds! I had to shovel through 5 foot drifts just to get to my driveway. Thank god I have a local contractor with a large snowblower to plow out my 4-car driveway!

Now that my driveway is cleared, it will be now possible to deliver my new Oneida 1.5hp Cyclone with external filter I ordered last Friday <stealth gloat!!>

Rob,

I just built a scaled down version of this. It was part of an advertisement for Jet tools in "Woodworkers Journal" Dec 2003 on page 75

Jack,
That is a nice sheet rack, how wide is it?
Bryan, I never saw your sheet good rack, can you share?
Thanks,
Steve

8 feet long and I think its 32 in wide. Melamine looks great, but I wouldn't use it again. Weighs over 400 lbs before its loaded down with wood. I caught a deal when Payless Cashways went out of business $7 per sheet, and I wanted to use it up.

Looks great. Was it created from plans or your own design? If you don't mind I would love some info on it's construction and dimensions. It looks like the perfect solution for my shop.

Ok Bryan - you've got the winning rack (according to Rob). Post a picture! I liked the other ones. I'm curious what your rack looks like. If you don't mine, post a pic -

Thanks,

Perry

Its nothing fancy it is just the one I was looking for. Its from Wood Online. The thing I like is its only about 1 foot wide at the bottom. If Bryan doesnt post a picture I will when I get back to the computer with it.

If I'd have known it was a contest, I would have edge banded my melamine, and painted on a lightning stripe.

Attached are scanned plans for the rack. If anyone has difficulty making out a dimension, just drop me an e-mail. The quality of the plans is the best I can do here.
