Variation on a theme inspired by some of last year’s turned angels. These are true hybrids as the bodies were turned, wings and halos were not.

77847

Tall angels: Bodies are cherry, wings and halos are from aromatic cedar, 8” and 7 ½” high with 5 ¼” wing spans.

Short Angels: Bodies are spalted cherry, wings and halos are from curly maple, 4 ½” and 4” high with 3 1/8” wing spans.

As always, comments and critiques are welcome!

Merry Christmas and thanks for looking! :D

Steve these are great! Best angels I've seen yet.

Merry Christmas,

Really like these. My SWMBO is an angel nut. :p How did you attach the wings?

Thanks everyone! Joe, wings were attached using short 18 gauge brads, which is actually overkill. Plan on picking up a 23 gauge pin-nailer some day for small projects such as these.

Must have been a lot of bells ringing (movie reference) that day. Lovely ornaments, hope to be able to make a bunch of my own of various types next year. So many new things to learn now!
