I turned this bowl before we went on our trip. Walnut 6-1/2" Diameter, 2"high, and 1/16" wall thickness. Buffed it out today and am sending it to a dear friend Monday.

Very nice bowl. Wonderful flowing grain, and it looks like your "usual finish" treats your work well.

Wow! Great bowl! I'll echo what Steve said- those walls are really thin and your 'usual finish' looks great. I'd be scared of making a platter rather than a bowl if I took walls down that thin.

Great bowl, I'll echo "really thin"! Do you use a bowl steady?

Bruce the bowl is a beauty and 1/16" thick. Wow. That walnut is some good looking wood. Well done.

I didn't use a steady on this one, Skip. As I turned it, it just seemed to flow. I will admit that during the sanding and Beal polish/wax steps, I used a VERY gentle touch.

Ohhh man is that nice. The finish on it is spectacular!! I love to see highly sanded pieces. Shows good grain depth!!!

Reallly nice form and figure. At that thickness, must have done everything just right to bring it to completion.
