I've been glueing up some cutting boards for Christmas presents and have had problems lining up the different segments on the second glue-up. I was wondering if it is okay to use 23 ga. pins to align the segments so that the segments don't move and mis-align the pattern until the glue sets up. This is for an end-grain cutting board during the second glue-up. Thanks.

If I remember right..if you took a crosscut and squared the ends on the board after the first glue up, should you be able to just butt all the ends against a straightedge and everything should line up. ( hope you understood the ramble)
