Does this machine have reverse? Any other comments about it would be welcome as well.

Yes, there is a reverse switch. When the lathe comes, the faceplate is on the spindle, but make sure that you loosen the set screws BEFORE you try to take it off.:eek:

I switch directions on my 3520B while sanding without stopping the lathe. The VFD is programmed by Powermatic to stop the lathe first and then start it up in the opposite direction. I think this is true of many but perhaps not all lathes with VFD drives. It is a great convenience when sanding.
