For those that read my past thread about finding a good deal on a used PM209 planer, I ended up buying it.

Working well, but I'm not happy with the knives. With my money savings I was considering upgrading to a byrd head but then decided I didn't want to spend the $1200 on it. I have been researching the Dispozablade system, read some other posts about it, and just had a few questions.

First, does anyone have a 209 with the posi-set on it? How has that worked out?
Is the initial set up really that easy?

Also, as far as the knives go, I read somewhere they don't last as long. But I would figure it to be the same as standard HSS knives. Any truth to that?

Extra Info
I spoke with the company and was quoted $477.75 for the Posi-set kit with and extra free set of knives (Christmas Special). That gives me 4 knive changes until I need to spend more for knives since the knives are double sided. Was quoted $75 for 4 knives and $210 for 12 knives.
