This is a bowl that I turn out of a very fragile piece of wood. Lots of cracks and holes. Not sure what kind of wood it is, but it is very soft. The demensions are 4.75 inches in diameter and 4.25 inches high. It is finished with Danish oil. I think it is rather interesting looking - what do you think?

It is a very pretty piece of wood. What it is, I've no idea. But I like what you did with it. Simple form and let the wood speak for itself.

I think that there is a lot of figure action going on in there, and a lot of holes! In my hands I'm sure it would have blown up.

Blowing up is what I feared and that is why I kept the form simple and didn't take too much off the sides.

Nice work, Greg. That wood has a lot going on. Must've been a challenge!

Greg, Very nice.
Could the wood be an old piece of Buckeye?
