Delta DC380 15" planer serrated infeed roller ?

Hello,

For those of you that have this Delta 15" planer, how thin of a cut can you make without the serrated infeed roller making marks on your boards?

If I wanted to remove 1/64" off some wood, am I going to have a bumpy surface due to the infeed roller?

I understand the infeed roller pressure can be adjusted, but that it might not be that convenient to do so, and that most folks would set it once and forget it.

Also, for those of you that have upgraded from a portable planer to this one, is there anything your small planer could do better besides storage and cost issues?

Allan, I have the Jet 15" planer and the I get serrations if I take a 1/64 cut. I tried lowering the pressure, but the boards wouldn't feed straight. I'd assume the same holds true for the Delta too.

I didn't want to hear that. :( What's the thinnest you can shave off without serration marks?

Hoping to hear 1/32"....
