First of all, I have no financial interest in this auction. But if you know some one who needs an excellent quality entry level lathe, this deal cannot be beat. I bought one of these from this same fellow about a year ago. It has been the most vibration free, quiet lathe I have ever worked on. I've produced a boat load of pens, bottle stoppers and boxes since I've had mine.
It is a bare-bones machine with few bells and whistles, but the English quality can't be beat. Mine was new in the box, but was made in 1998! Record Power no longer makes their own tools. Like everyone else they have gone to Asia to have their lathes produced. These are probably the last of the English produced lathes.
