First I added a remote E-Stop switch. I bought the parts from McMaster-Carr for about $40. The expense comes from using a washdown rated enclosure and switch contacts rated for DC. I added magnets to move it around, but I still need to secure the cord to the back of the lathe.

Next I made a tool holder I can move around on the lathe bed. I modified a design from an old Wood mag.

"Course I had to have a sharpening station.

Looks like some very handy stuff there...I especially like that tool holder that fastens to the ways. Nice job! Good idea adding the remote...IMHO, every lathe should have this feature for both convenience and safety.

I really like that tool holder idea. If you don't mind me stealing it that will be my project next weekend.
