Figured I better join the party and get the proof in now that the Mustard has been in the shop for a couple of weeks.

Glad I didn't have to get it into a basement like Paul - though I did have to handle everything twice - to get it into the back of the pickup at work and then into the shop. LOML was a trooper though and helped me carry the bed from the truck into the shop. (Though I really wish she would have been out there when I put the headstock on - would have been nice to have someone holding the locking lever in the open position as I tried to wrestle it onto the bed ).

Well here she is with piece #2 (a craigslist scored 8/4 walnut offcut) chucked up. Hopefully I'll get a chance to take pictures of the platter this weekend.

Geez, to think that 15 months ago I was oblivious to the vortex (and much richer:))

Congrats Pat. I'm sure you gonna love it. I took the motor off my headstock so it was a easier to manage.

Can't wait to see what that piece looks like when you are done.

I tell my wife that the shop is a better place to spend my spare change than a Bar. Works for me! :D

And don't forget to tell her that if you are in the shop she'll know exactly where you are too.
