flush hinge to table surface

I would like to have have half of my out feed table surface hinged, so that I can flip it in half to expose a DDT table underneath. The reason I want to do this is that an out feed table needs to be slippery and a DDT table surface needs to be somewhat stickier.

Anyhow I want to use a hinge so that the hinge barrel is beneath the surface of the table....is this possible?

or should I just use a butler tray hinge (http://www.rufkahrs.com/hardw4/hinge8.html)
