How do you price a natural edged bowl? I know some say diameter. So do you measure the biggest outside diameter?

Yes, if you think the customer will pay the price.

(largest width * largest hieght * skill modifier) + materials = price

So a 10" diameter by 4" tall natural edge bowl with 1/16" sides made out of a blank of maple burl that cost $40 would price out to be:

(10*4*5)+40=$240

The skill modifier is a number from 1 to 1000 that you feel rates how much skill was involved in creating the piece. In this case, the modifier may be a little low if the piece is sitting in a gallery uptown or a little high if it's sitting at the church bazaar. You have to be the judge. The results are always subject to change based on how long the piece sits in your collection.
