Just picked up a new Jet 18" 3HP bandsaw.

I spent this evening getting it home and uncrated, and getting the outlet wired up.

Heavy little booger thats for sure. Fortunately I had one of my boys available to use as a mule :)

I think he was trying to tell me about that fish he caught:

I tried staring at it for awhile but it seemed the thing wasn't going to get up and go into the shop on its own. How lazy is that?

My wife found out I ordered this when Woodcraft called and reported it was in. I don't think I'm getting anything else for Christmas.

At over 400lbs it was a bit of a bear to move. The boy was a good sport. So I let him do all the work :o... just kidding.

Uncrated and on its mobile base. Still need to finish the setup. Ever have a dozen things you need to do and your behind on them all? Thats my life...

Stock blade is coming off, I have some new Timberwolf blades on the bench. I've been grunting like Tim the Toolman all evening. My wife told me to shuttup. Not very nice of her :p

On my way tomorrow to Keim Lumber in Charm, Ohio tomorrow, with a side visit to Hartvill Tools. I am sure I won't come home with anything. :D.. just kidding again. Tis the season! ;)

Nice one Rick.

Received the identical one a couple of weeks ago. Still have not set it up as this is our silly season. We are closing the factory in two days time for our Christmas Break and after my lazy two weeks at the coast I will set it up and makesome dust for sure!!!!!!!!:D

Ho ho ho... someone was good this year. Who said anyone was too old for Santa?
I agree moving 400+ lbs isn't exactly easy, help is necessary & I too enlisted "the boy", 'cept mine is only 6 & about 45 lbs!
Looking forward to feedback and lets see a pic of some dust!

Rick, that's quite a gloat. Congratulations on your Christmas present. That's a mighty fine saw. It's nice to treat yourself once in a while. :D I did the same thing last year on Christmas Eve (different brand).

...Ever have a dozen things you need to do and your behind on them all? Thats my life...... ;)

That's the story of my life as well! I think that makes life more fun.;):D

Congrats on your new saw! (Sounds like you need to make something nice for SWMBO, however...) :D
