I had a few sets of coasters to burn with family crests, but needed some method of packaging them for daily use. This -after much head-scratching- is what I ended up with. The particular coasters I was working with were 6mm thick smoked glass, diameter 100mm; but the box ought to work fine for both smaller and thinner coasters.

There's 3 layers at the base...firstly because I needed the extra weight for the glass and also because I included stepped holes for the coasters to rest in.

Here's what the box looks like:

...and here's the file. X3 & v8 versions included.

Very cool! May I ask where you got the glass discs? Did you put little rubber "bumps" on the bottom of each coaster to prevent slipping?

I got the glass discs from my local window-and-double-glazing supply shop. They quite often have a circular-cutting thingy. If I have any advice (and it's 100% opposed to my previous advice, by the way), is bevel it yourself with a dremel tool. Window suppliers need a serious bevel on large pieces of glass, so they buy the kit for that.

My first lot came out OK, but the second batch I ordered they made a right arse of the job. Big chunks out of the glass...it's a lot more subtle and professional if you do it yourself with a smaller-scale tool.

EDIT: No, I didn't put anything on the bottom to stop them slipping. Cetainly something to bear in mind for the future as an option, but for the prices people expect stuff for in Spain it may well never happen.
