Needed to making some presents, haven't made any pens in awhile...forgot how fun it is.

Two laminated curly maple and paduak Cigar pens and a lacewood click pen.

They are great therapy after a bad day for me. JUst mindless turning ,(more or less, watch the fingers). :)

That's actually good to hear that the lacewood looks good. It was my least favorite of the 3, but I am very partial to cigar pens, so am therefore biased.

The maple and paduak was supposed to be a wavy segment but some practice on scrap showed me that I have more practice to do on the scroll saw before I can make on of those succesfully. After 3 tries on scrap peices I decided that a simple vertical stripe was all I was going to be capable of.

Very nice pens! :) I really like the click pen. If you don't mind, where did you get the kit?

I like 'em all Bob. I especially like the placement of the bulged area on the cigars. Nicely done.
