redbud burl pen

Well it is Christmas time so have to make pens every afternoon for a few days. I can do bowls this weekend. Anyway, I've got boxes of pen blanks I've picked up from all over the world. I found some RedBud Burl that was real unusual. The grayish looking areas areall part of the blank and not dust. This is a Jr. Emperor, wet sanded to 12000 and then just friction polished. I was going to do the CA/BLO but decided I liked it being a tad flat as opposed to glossy. I might have to hide this one.
