We will be visiting the great London area next year, with day trips out in the country side. One of the things SWMBO has tasked me with, is to ensure I will not miss any woodworking/lathe/etc things to see I already have the The V&A (http://www.vam.ac.uk/) on this list, any other reccomendations? TTFN Ralph

Non-woodworking memorable things from my trips to London back in 98-99 are:
- Greenwich (home of Greenwhich Mean Time)
- Bath (take the train from Paddington Station)
- Harrod's Department Store

I was there for work and basically only had a couple weekends and a few hours every night free so there was a lot more I didn't get to see. But working in London and experiencing real life there was fun too.

HI Ralph

Where to start, lived in London myself until 6 years ago so a couple of questions.

What sort of transport will you have, are you just relying on trains buses etc or will you be hiring a car?

Also when are you coming over and where abouts in London will you be staying?
