Below is a picture of my first cabinet (kitchen style) for my workshop. I used cheap birch ply, leftover walnut for the face frame, left over oak for the door rails and stiles and birch ply for the door panel.

Now for the question. I am planning on building a box of drawers in my workbench. Which heavy duty drawer slides do you recommend for this? Where could I get them at a price less than Rockler or Woodcraft?

Thanks,
-Sue

I would put that in the kitchen, the heck with the shop. That is a really great looking shop cabinet, make sure you post a shot of of it when you are though..

On the slides, there are tons of them out there the ones I used on my shop cabinet are rated at 100 lb. and a 100 pounds in one drawer is a lot.
I have one drawer that is full of drill motors, belt sander, and other heavy items and these slides are working very well.

The price is right also.
