I don't have any plans for you, but I just built a king size based on a waterbed design. I just shortened the rail height to 4 3/4", but other than that it's a traditional hard-side waterbed design. Also, I cheated and bought the drawer pedestal set - just need it fast. But you might want to go to some furniture stores and check some designs out.

John, I also have posted a request for similar (twin bed, platform, underbed storage) for my kids, in the design forum and plans forums, and though several hundred seem to have read it, so far no replies ;( I browsed the web for 4-5 hours one night looking for plans/designs I liked, but still haven't found one. Guess I'll have to do it myself, or watch this thread!
