Well, that's just like a dad. Popping buttons and only shares minimum details. With kids, we want to know weight, length, time, yada yada. With lathes, we want details, too, but not just the year (kindly provided, thank you), but things like swing and distance between centers. Maybe how many speeds ya got on that puppy, number of horses under the hood, whether the motor is original, rebuilt, or other, and things like that.

I know it ain't a car so you don't know cubic inch displacement and rear end ratio, but hey, even *I* can count pulley rings! That's what I had to do on my Jet and my CarbaTec both. Neither of the manuals provide the actual speeds, just the slowest and the fastest Everything inbetween just did not seem important to the manufacturer. Or maybe that was proprietary information? ;)

Lets see who gets the closest. Me first It looks like 12" swing and 36" to 40" between centers

Olies are the way to go. Nice Machine !!!!

Over Thanksgiving I took a tour of the original Oliver factory in Grand Rapids. Rich was really great, and it was cooooool to see where it all began in 1907. If you have the model # and the serial # you can get a lot of information about your specific machine directly from Eagle Machinery.

The important thing is to HAVE FUN.
