WOW Tim, those are REALLY nice. You were being too modest. The turnings are certainly nice, and as you mentioned, the crotch figure is certainly a great bonus! That segmented piece is especially nice!
Thanks for posting the pictures.

Great turnings. A lot more interesting grain that I would have expected from butternut. Never know what you will find inside a log.

Very nice work, more figure than I'm used to seeing in butternut.

:)Thank you everyone for the nice comments. The bowl in picture 1 is 9" by 3 1/4" by 5/16". The vase next to it is 6 1/2" by 5 5/8" by 1/4". The segmented piece is 7 1/4" tall by 7 3/4" wide at the top, bottom is 3 3/4" wall thickness is 1/4". It is made up of Saple and Walnut accents with the Butternut main body with a total of 106 pcs. That was a very easy piece to make, anyone could do it. I have created my own oils/poly mix that has been working great for me. I hand rub all my pieces with 0000 liberion to finish. The other Butternut turnings are on the smaller size Bowl is 6" by 3" by 1/4". The box has a padauk lid Spelling? it is 5 1/2" tall 3 1/2" wide with a 1/4" wall thickness. The pencil cup is 4 3/8" by 2 3/4" 3/16" wall thickness. These sizes seem to be in proportion for the intended use. Thanks again everyone , Tim.
