I am looking for a good quality/value router table.

Has anyone had any experience with the RM 405 (from Router Maniac - "RouterTableDepot.com) or the RM 605. I am interested in making sure the table and fence are flat/straight, stable over time and without sag of the acrylic insert.

On one hand I would be looking towards the RM 405 with the larger fence (4 inch by 4 inch by 33 inch aluminum core, vs the smaller fence on the RM 605 which has a 3 inch by 3 inch by 24 inch core.

On the other hand the table on the $240 RM 605 appears that it might be more stable over time with the edging in maple vs just what appears to be melamine edging on the less expensive $169 RM 405.

Any guidance or other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Many thanks, Chuck:confused:

I have the Lee Valley steel top and stand. Simply great imo. Usually gets top reviews in most mags.

I don't see the one you are looking at but I would highly sugest one that is closed underneeth and with good dust collection. These seem to be the basic get dust everywhere models. Also make sure you can get a fence riser and zero clearance inserts. Personally I like the jointech (http://www.jointech), jensem or benchdog. I know you can not get a riser for the jensem though :( I have a benchdog next will be a jointech.
