Second turning...first honey dipper

Here is my second go at a piece on the lathe. Its made of red maple, sanded to 12000 micro mesh (yeah its a bit overkill =) and finished with walnut oil and beeswax. The blank had an interesting figure in the grooved section so I left it intact. Feedback welcome!

Nice job. Honey dippers are fun to do and to give. Also a great little project to do with kids for them to learn how to use a parting tool and what to look for in endgrain tear-out, too.

I like it, Aaron. Never tried a honey dipper myself (I personally don't care much for honey, though it does add a nice flavor to breads), so I may have to try one sometime.
