Had a maple log given to me this past summer that had a strip of birdseye running through it. Managed to rough out a couple of large bowls from it and this is the first one finished. It is 10 ¾” x 4 ½” x ½” thick. Sanded to 320, 2 coats of Watco Natural and then buffed.

That is a nice one Steve. You could get fat using one that size in the kitchen. :)

Nice bowl Steve, I do like maple for bowls and when you can use birdseye, curly, spalted or any design it makes it even better looking. Have we seen that one yet in our meeting?
