Rather than duplicate the pictures (save space and hopefully won't step on anyone's toes), I've posted pix of most of the output from the Kansas City metro area woodturners' efforts to support the Freedom Pen Project. We had 4 work days, bringing together three AAW chapter volunteers, plus numerous individuals who worked at home to prep and finalize pens for the effort.
Visit those pens at THIS LINK (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=712201#post712201), in the 3rd post in that thread. The story is there, too. If I'm supposed to put the pix here, too, I can do that, but not without some Mod saying "OKAY" (preferably done with an Alvin accent).
They're already talking about next year and turners are lining up to bring me more wood, already cut to size! Good causes bring out the best in folks, I'm convinced. Especially if it means a good reason to be making chips in the shop. :)
