Hello everyone,
First I would like to say thank you to everyone the information and conversation I have gotten from the Creek has been great.
I built my shop and all my questions have been answered through the arcives. The shop is just about complete but I am stuck on one question.
My new shop is 24 x 12 2x6 construction the walls t-111 and are insulated the attac is going to be insulted. no heat yet. Can I put the tool in the shop with out a problem? I have been told they will rust with out heat in the shop
oh yea I live in Northwest Vermont

I hope I put this in the correct forum

thanks again
bob

Sure. Whether there's heat or not, you'll get rust, so why not??!!!! Wax or other treatments will retard the rust buildup. (So will occasional use!)

I do not believe you are going to have a problem, especially if you take normal precautions as Todd mentions.

No worries Bob, the tools will not notice the temperature.... wax is never a bad idea on all CI plat spots. The air this time of year is usually rather dry anyway, that nice cold Canadian stuff eh?
By the way, how's the snow today? Good friend of mine spent all day playing hookie yesterday boarding at Sugarbush and said words couldn't describe the conditions.....:D
Oh yeah, congrats on the new shop (but we like to see not just hear...)
Cheers,
Greg
