I was going to build a table for a Big Green Egg smoker/BBQ. The smoker weighs 205lbs.
The table is going to have a table top with a round cutout for the smoker to sit in and a shelf below the table top that support the smoker. (So the table top will not be supporting the weight of the smoker). Very similar to the table that Green Egg sells. http://www.biggreenegg.com/tables.html
Dimensions are approx. 5 ft wide and 2 ft deep. The wood of choice is going to be cyprus. I was thinking of making it with 4x4 legs and frame it out with 2x4's mortise and tenon.
do you think that mortise/tenon combination will support that much weight over time?
