My Wixey gauge arrived today missing the head unit and angle gauge. It looks like the Woodcraft brown paper tape failed and FedEx taped the box back up with clear tape.

Has anyone else received their angle gauge from Woodcraft in the original Wixey box? Did the packaging look ok?

Is Woodcraft good about fixing this sort of problem?
I emailed them about it. Are they good about email?

Thanks,

Kevin

Bummer.
Woodcraft will take good care of you.

The brown Woodcraft tape had about 50% failure on mine too. Fortunately there was enough to keep the box closed and no missing parts tho I haven't checked all the parts in the hardware bag yet.

Mine arrived just barely held together but I saw someone at another forum had the same thing happen.

I wondered if anyone else would have a problem.

Tape on mine was hanging onto the box. About 2 inches of it was stuck.
Angle gauge, digital gauge, brackets and hardware is missing.
All I have in the box is the strip.

Emailed CS monday evening. Tuesday morning they emailed back.
They are air freighting, next day [which should be today] a whole new package, along with a return mailing slip to return the first one.:D

I noticed on the new invoice that was emiled to me, a note to the packers to wrap the box real good.

Mine arrived with one of the aluminum rails pretty beat up where it fell out of the box but i was able to clean it up and all is well. The Woodcraft tape held for about the first 6" on the bottom but that's it.

I sent them an email to let them know.

Second one that Woodcraft air freighted to take care of me.
Great customer service.;)
But the shipping department needs some help. ;)
Luckily all the parts are in this one.

Send them those pics. That's real similar to mine. Either they need to trash a whole batch of that Woodcraft packing tape for bad glue or maybe their warehouse is too cold so they're not getting a bond when it's applied?? Either way it sounds like an epidemic.

Yep. I sent Diane, who has handled this for me, a link to this.
She said she would forward it to shipping.

These boxes are the shiny [some kind of coated cardboard] ones.
I'm wondering if the wated based glue tape they are using just won't stay on.
Or maybe bad glue. I don't know.

Anyhoo, they have great customer service.;):D
