Orbital Sander vs Finishing Sander

I have never owned an orbital sander and currently have a Porter Cable finishing sander. I was thinking about getting the PC orbital on sale at Woodcraft this Saturday for $53.

What will an orbital sander do for me besides be a little more aggressive in stock removal?

Are they worth the extra paper cost?

Amazon had a deal last week where you could buy a PC690 router and get a free orbital sander. The router was also discounted heavily and the total price for both was $95.00!! There is a thread in the forum somewhere with links if your interested. If you were going to spend $54 on the OS, you may as well get the router for an additional $40...
