Anyone use a duct booster fan

Anyone use on of those Suncourt duct booster fans in your furnace or a/c? I was wondering if it works well and how you connected it to the power supply.

John, your furnace have AC? Lots of time just running the Fan On selection on most thermostats will help.
Also setting the anticipator on your stat to a longer cycle time may help.

We see them from time to time with varied success, I'd try working with the system first.

I have installed one of these in a neighbors home. It was to help boost the supply to a back room that was an addition on a old house with an insufficient system.

I ran the wiring down to the blower. When the main blower turned on this one would as well. Only way I could think to keep it from running all the time.

It did help overall though. There was a noticable increase in air flow from the vent in that room. Not a substitute for a proper system, but it was better than nothing.
