I had a couple of questions for all of you that own the worksharp I am anticipating buying one for my x-mas present via my mother in law ( as she has okayed the purchase) the questions I have are as stated … do the abrasive discs last pretty long? And can you buy the abrasive discs from other sources as far as a better price? If so were? Also I have heard talk about them coming out with a bigger unit and one that will accept jigs for sharpening tools like jointer and planer blades has anyone here herd any truth in such a rumor?:eek:

Got one last month, love it. The disks don't last too long, but you can use any 6" psa disk, just (roughly) punch a hole in the center. Very repeatable, and easy to adjust. I've used it for chisels only, and freehanded some stuff on the top.
